Together with our consistently high quality standards, the responsible use of resources, regionality in the selection of our raw materials and tested safety are the pillars of our actions within the company. In this way, we fulfil our social, economic and ecological responsibility.

Fair and cooperative dealings are our top priority, both within our company and with our customers and suppliers.
It is important to us to constantly develop ourselves further and to be up to date. This is why, for example, we successfully participated in the "Environment and Energy Efficiency" project organised by the district of Günzburg. We also co-operated with the Technical University of Munich as a case study on the subject of energy efficiency as part of a university dissertation.
Certifications
We are certified in various areas in order to do justice to both our quality and our sustainability concepts.
RSPO
We are a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO, www.RSPO.org) so that we can play an active role in shaping the development process for palm oil production standards. The focus here is on ensuring that cultivation areas are no longer deforested and that minimum social standards are observed during cultivation.
We already use a high proportion of RSPO-certified palm oil in our production process. We are endeavouring to increase this quota to 100%.
RAL
Our candles are labelled with the "RAL Quality Mark". This means that our candles are regularly tested in accordance with the quality regulations laid down there. Candles bearing the "RAL Quality Mark" have a quality-assured selection of raw materials, burn-tested wicks and include a test of all ingredients.
Sustainability
An independent jury honoured us with the Special Interest Sustainability Award for our sustainable products, in particular our beeswax products and our Nature range.
Jury member Christina Bocher (DEKRA GmbH): "Gebr. Steinhart shows that candlelight can also be innovative and sustainable: in addition to beeswax and 100% RSPO-certified palm oil, with the "Nature" line they rely on domestic rapeseed as an alternative renewable raw material for wax production."
